Why Don’t I like Sarah Palin?

Why can’t I seem too like Gov Palin? She stands for things I stand for. She says things I wish our leaders would say. She’s hot as well. Still, I just can’t seem to get my head around her being President. Not that I don’t think she’s smart enough or qualified for the job. After the last election I think it’s safe to say there are no minimum standards for these things anymore. She just bugs me and I don’t know why.

It could be the way she whines about things or tries so hard to play the victim all the time. We get it, they are all out to get you. I mean they are but can you blame them? What I think is fun is the mainstream media are working so hard to find that one thing that will make her the laughing stock they see her as. The harder they work the harder she digs in and the more a victim she actually becomes. The media should use reverse psychology with her. DON’T show up to everything she does, DON’T try to get her caught in some brain teaser question. Just ignore her….. The crazy homeless guy on my corner would not look nearly as crazy if he had someone to argue with. Alone he just looks nuts.

Again, I really SHOULD like Sarah Palin but I just can’t seem to get there. I’d say maybe it’s just me but it seems I’m not alone. I guess she’s like country music. You either love it or hate it. It’s great music but it just not for everybody.

It’s a Blog Eat Blog World!

These days everyone with a computer and an opinion has a blog. Why not me too? I have both of those things and I’m always right….ha-ha. Well, mostly right so here goes, my own blog.  Now what do I say? How about hello for starters. My name is Bill. I’m a small business owner, in my early 40′s and pissed off at the world and what it has become. Sounds like just about every other blog out there huh?

What has me so pissed off is politics. In the US we have a government of the people, by the people and for the people, right? So when did it become a bloodsport for the aristocratic elite? It’s gone from people trying to serve their country and make this a better place for their kids to grow up in to just another career. Congress looks more like an episode of the Jersey Shore these days than the esteemed halls of liberty it started out as.  Why are we so fixated on parties in this country? Since when did group think become a good thing? Why do I have to be a Democrat or a Republican to get my vote counted? Why can’t we elect smart people with good ideas instead of talking heads that look good on camera? It’s just seems so wrong to me. Am I the only one?

Great men do great things. Not because it will make them rich or famous but because it’s the right thing to do. Great things make the world a better place to live in. A better world to raise a family in. A better place to build a future in. The last truly great man (besides my father) was Ronald Reagan. He was not trying to make friends or impress the party loyalists. He wanted this country to be great again. He was a student of history and knew quite well the intent of our founding fathers. A free peoples will always prevail. Give a person freedom and they would stand a far better chance to succeed.

So, in a world where we can’t eat salt, drink beer or smoke a cigarette I ask you, are we truly free? I think not. We have too many people doing the thinking for us. Telling us what we can and can’t do. How we can paint our house or raise our kids. It’s just gone too far! If one person can decide for me what I should and should not do it seems fair that one person can change the way they get their power. The longest journey always starts with one step. This might be that step. My journey to end this BS. Get our freedom back. If I want to be a fool then it’s my right to do that. Screw you and the high horse you rode in on! I’m an American and that used to mean something! Join me and maybe it can means something again.
